SETTING INFORMATION

The Milky Way Galaxy is one name given to our home galaxy. But it has as many names as there are races among the stars - and there are far more than we gave credit. Although each culture continues to call it the names they came up with, the official designation given by the Galactic Federation is "Genesis."

The Galactic Federation is made up of the myriad governments made up of the numerous number of alien races. The sharing of technology is only permitted among members of the Federation, but they are willing to accept new races and governments as long as they are of sufficient advancement and are willing to abide by the rules and laws of the Federation.

Each government maintains their own systems, planets, laws, etc. The concessions they make are that they must accept certification and legal statuses from other portions of the Federation, they cannot share high-level technology with non-members of the Federation (either by gift or by trade,) and a shared defensive agreement.

Humans are among the newest races to join the Galactic Federation. They're vying for a higher standing, but as it stands, they are considered unproven and, consequently, of little importance.

STARFOUND INFORMATION

The big theme surrounding StarFound is "Found Family" (hence the name.) The crew is aboard a small-ish ship, doing tasks of dubious legality at the fringes of the civilized Galaxy.

Currently, the crew is undecided, and the actual ship is undefined, and the overall plot is undefined. Let's define that together!
